Developmental Screening Report

A critical component of children's readiness for school is ensuring that they achieve optimal development prior to entering kindergarten. Developmental screenings are a key strategy for early identification and treatment of developmental delays related to cognitive, communicative, physical, behavior or social-emotional development.

A new tool was developed in 2009, Developmental Screening Record, Other Routine Screening & Immunization Reocrd. These booklets allow families to recognize when it is time for a child to have a developmental screen, encourage providers to screen the child using a standardized tool, and then acquire the needed referrals for the child with developmental concerns.
